When applying Polyurea coatings, it is important that an installation company understands all aspects of the trade. This is highly dependent on the application, whereby a distinction must be made between application in-house or on-site.
When a project has to be carried out on-site, the installation company must take various aspects into account, such as:
- Ambient temperature
- Humidity
- Moisture in the subsurface
- Dew point
- Expected weather conditions
- Has the subsurface been pre-treated?
- Detail connection and subsurface preparation
- Protective measures
In addition, there are other matters that are important to ensure the application of a system is successful. Applying liquid synthetics under outdoor conditions requires experience.
When applying Polyurea coatings under controlled conditions, it becomes easier. In that case too, various matters must still be considered, but weather influences will not be one of those.
