When you think of a stairwell, you tend to think of a dull grey concrete mass. A stairwell is often the only way to access a home, office or another building. That does not make it easy to transform these areas into friendly spaces.
Colourful whole
Within its supply programme, Prokol offers a series of products that can transform a stairwell into a beautiful and pleasant space, in a short period of time. For example, floors and stairs can be provided with a fast-drying, seamless coating and practically any colour.
Fire-resistant coating system
Stairwells are often also important escape routes. It is therefore important that they remain easily accessible in the event of a fire. Smoke development must therefore be prevented as much as possible.
Prokol has developed a product for this called Prokol FireGuard Pro 200. This fire-resistant coating has been tested by Warrington Fire and has been awarded fire class A2-s1,d0. This coating can be applied to both floors and walls. The product is available in RAL colours, is extremely wear and scratch resistant, is fully colour-fast and can also be fitted in an anti-slip coating.
Hotspray technique
Sometimes it can be practical to finish stairwells in such a way that they can be cleaned using high-pressure cleaners. A suitable solution for this would be the choice of a seamlessly sprayed liner based on colour-fast polyurea. An anti-slip coating can also be applied by means of a special spraying technique.
