Finishes within the petrochemical industry must meet specific requirements such as fire safety, chemical resistance and anti-slip. Within its supply programme, Prokol offers a wide range of products in which systems can be combined that meet these requirements.
Tank liners and coatings
Tanks are often provided with a polyurea hotspray coating on the inside. A coating or membrane is applied to a subsurface at a thickness of 2.5 to 5 mm. These liners are resistant to many chemicals and provide a seamless, durable finish.
On the outside, tanks are fitted with a FerroTeq 960 coating system. These are available in various corrosion classes, up to C5. They provide sustainable protection for the outside of a tank against weather influences in a land or sea climate.
Receptacles (secondary barrelling)
The government requires that storage tanks or other business processes be placed in a liquid-proof container. Prokol supplies a range of polyurea coatings especially for this application, under the name of Rocathan Hotspray. Rocathan polyurea coatings are highly resistant to chemicals and offer special properties in terms of tensile strength, wear resistance and mechanical resistance. The short reaction times of Rocathan polyurea coatings ensure that the newly applied system can be walked on within a few minutes.
The total of these properties means that a Rocathan polyurea coating outperforms most other coatings by a considerably margin. Read more about barrelling in this case study!
Fire-retardant floor coating
In the event of a fire, people must be able to leave the building in time. What is important in this respect is the extent and speed at which a fire can spread. As regards the fire service, they must be given as much time as possible to fight the fire.
Especially for areas and spaces where these requirements or wishes apply, Prokol offers products that make an important contribution to limiting the spread of a fire in a work environment.
